Washington Board of Nursing State CE Requirements
CE Requirements for RNs: Starting on January 1, 2011 all registered nurses must begin documenting continuing competency. To comply, all licensed nurses must: Collect documentation of 531 hours of active nursing practice within the previous 36-month review period, keep documentation to show completion of 45 hours of continuing education, self assessment and reflection (for personal use only), and attest you have met continuing competency requirements. You must do this every three years, when you submit your renewal.

Our Career Fairs are designed to introduce experienced, licensed RNs to regional and national recruiters. The majority of our exhibitors will be attending solely to meet nurses who are currently licensed, have some experience in a nursing setting, and are available to work immediately. If you are not readily available for employment, be prepared that many exhibitors may not accept your resume at this event.
You may still find this event to be beneficial with educational and networking opportunities. Each career fair offers a complete schedule of continuing education classes, and some events offer entertaining or valuable activities such as chair massage, resume review and door prize drawings.
Please be aware that the first hour that the exhibit hall is open of each Career Fair is restricted to currently licensed RNs who have at least one year or more of experience. Students, new grads and licensed allied health care professionals (other than RNs) may not enter the exhibit hall during the first hour it's open. Seating at our 8:30 am continuing education class may be available, depending on attendance numbers.
